After competing at the Nebraska FBLA State Leadership Conference (SLC) from April 11-13, 2024 in Kearney at the Younes North Conference Center Gibbon FBLA will be sending five members to the 2024 FBLA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida from June 27-July 3. The five members are Ximena Urbina (Young Leader Award-Middle School), Briahna Brehm (Database Design & Applications), Halyx Dorsey (Exploring Technology-Middle School) and Korbyn Smallcomb & Collin Brueggemann (Website Design). Forde Holl was a Nebraska State Officer Candidate running for Vice President. Gibbon FBLA Adviser, Debra Stroh, also received the Nebraska Adviser of the Year and will be recognized at the National Leadership Conference.
Chapter awards earned at SLC by the Gibbon Chapter include: Gold Seal of Merit Award (only 15% of Nebraska chapters earn this award), Largest Middle School chapter in the state, Chapter Champion Gold Level Award, and the Sweepstakes Award.
Ribbon projects by the Gibbon FBLA include: StepUp2Tech, Connect to Business, Feed Nebraska, iGive Donation, Spark the Legacy, NSBEA/NBEA Adviser Membership, Nebraska FBLA Foundation Donation and Go Green Project.
Other individual awards earned by the Gibbon FBLA members included Briahna Brehm, Business Achievement Award-Contributor, Odalis Ramirez, Business Achievement Award-Contributor, Ximena Urbina, Business Achivement Award-LEAD.
