This year's One Act play production finished strong! Our students truly "left it all out there" at their District performance on Wednesday Dec. 4th in Bridgeport giving their best performance to date. We came in third for overall standings against tough competition. We did come in 1st for technical theatre and will be adding a plaque to our cabinet. Keagan Pickel was also named as one of the 2 outstanding performers for the entire production. Seven other students brought home acting awards, though judges raved about the performances of even more in the critiques following our performance.
This was a wonderful cap to a successful season. Gibbon also received 3rd place at the LPC conference meet, Best Costume/Hair & Best Tech at the Minden Festival, and 4th place overall at the York competition. Keagan Pickel also received an Outstanding performer award for the competition at Minden as well as multiple acting awards for many of our students. To top it off, we also had our largest cast and crew to date with 32 students participating. While we are losing 7 seniors, we are looking forward to next season with a large group of younger students.
