Good Morning Gibbon Nation. The Buffalo County Sheriff's Department will conduct training drills in our facility this afternoon, August 10th. Patrons will notice law enforcement vehicles arriving on campus at approximately 3:30 p.m. with drills lasting until 9:00 p.m.
In addition to today’s training activities, the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department will be a frequent visitor to Gibbon Public Schools and you will notice their vehicles on campus throughout the school year. The consistent presence of law enforcement officials on our campus offers a wonderful opportunity to interact and establish relationships with students and staff. As important, these occasions give students the chance to see law enforcement officials in a positive way, and their consistent presence supports the district’s goal of providing a safe environment conducive to learning.
We value our partnership with the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department, and we appreciate their willingness be an active participant in our continued efforts to review, analyze, and implement measures designed to improve the level of safety for the school community. Thank You Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department.
