Gibbon Nation. The school district practiced its "LOCKDOWN" procedures earlier this afternoon. A "LOCKDOWN" will occur if there is a threat or hazard inside the building. To prepare for the drill, teachers were given the date and time when the district would conduct the drill. Additional preparation included asking the teachers to visit with their students about the drill, the purpose for running the drill, and the importance of participating in the drill. Both occurred well before the district actually ran the drill.
